"Still Making History" is Ana's debut on Eclecto Groove (a subdivion of Deltagroove Productions) and her fourth international release. It strikes me that Ana has made a lot of progress after her first release. "Still Making History" is more various than her earlier releases. The album contains 14 songs. One of the songs in two total different versions: the opening track "U Complete Me" comes back as a bonus track in a Blues Version. "Between Our World", the third song on the album is has a significant reggae rhythm, but Ana can handle it!!! So can the band. The horn arrangements are just great! Ana's voice is better than ever, she proves this on several tracks "Hungry" is an example of this. "Doubt Everyone But Me" is a jazz song in the old tradition with again beautiful vocals, not to mention her skills on the guitar. She has enormous control over the instrument. John Cleary on Piano does a tremendous job! I read somewhere that Ana was the female equivalent of Jimi Hendrix.. Well, I just love everything Jimi did, but I've never hear him play this Jazzy. Than BACK TO BLUES with "You Don't Move Me": a Willie Mae Thornton song: Excellent! "Still Making History" is a moving song, not only because of the great lyrics. She knows how to write the exact music to the lyrics. Again perfect guitar! Sam Shoup delivers some great bass on "My Favourite Night", this time Ana on an acoustic and slide guitar again with a jazzy edge to it. Snooky Priors "How'd You Learn To Shake It Like That" is a swinging, rocking blues song. I said it before: Ana became a great songwriter: just listen to "Shadow After Dark" and "Calendars". The song "Sexiest Man Alive"..... well I envy him!!

Miss Popovic has made an album that's worth the title: She will be making history with this! Together with her producers (John Porter and David Z.), her co-writers and the wonderful musicians that accompany her on this album. She is a very gifted musician and I think now also a "musicians musician".
