ELVIN BISHOP "THE BLUES ROLLS ON" Source: Radio Feedback

Elvin Bishop’s album sounds hot. So many fabulous players on one disc and they are all having so much fun while playing. Elvin has a good taste when it comes to choosing songs and guests. Derek Trucks, BB King, John Nemeth… It is hard to believe this kind of line-up could be assembled. This album will be a hit, I’m sure about that.

I have always been a big Elvin fan. Was into PBBB in the late 60s, did a southern rock thing on radio when I was in college back in the mid 70s(so caught the early solo work then) & have been doin this since 89, thus catchin his first Gator, when he came back on the scene. This release should last a good long time w/ me.

Just a quick note on the new Elvin Bishop CD, "The Blues Roll ON". I'll be featuring it on my show next Tuesday. Usually we feature a new CD with 3 or 4 songs, but on this one I'm going with 6. This CD is one of the most "fun"
blues albums I've heard in a while. The CD reminds me of listening to alate night session with a bunch of talented friends playing the music they enjoy. It gets no better than that. As always keep up the great work.

...You guys did an amazing job in it ["The Blues Rolls On"], that's for sure. Often with albums like this, that bring together a large number of high profile guests, the lead star gets lost in the shuffle (I felt that way about Buddy Guy's last record). But that wasn't the case here...Elvin is right out front, but works so well with everyone who came out to play. I just loved it.
